Howdy all!

Well, I've made it home safely, and tired:) It was a long drive, but the weather was great. I left just after 8am and was home by 4pm. I was supposed to fly, but the arrangements got totally screwed up. (I now hate Northwest Airlines).
I got a hair cut just before I left for Florida. It's quite short compared to what it was! You'll see it in my pics. I took a few pics when I was down in Jacksonville, but not many. So here they are.

This is the view DH has from his apartment. He calls the bird Frazier (as is Crane). What a sense of humor!!

This is us in downtown Jacksonville one evening. They have a nice little riverwalk, and we walked some of it before heading to the River City Brewing Company for a drink.
This was my last evening there on our way out to dinner. We went to a place called Copelands. Expensive, but the food and service was fantastic. I highly recommend it.
Well, I'm off to do some cleaning before I head to bed.
Cheers

Hi there,
I went to college in St. Augustine - Flagler College at the old Ponce de Leon hotel. Loved walking those narrow old streets with the man who became my DH. Fun to do when you are in love and have no money!

Copeland's - is that Copeland's of New Orleans? Love that place - there is one in Rogers, AR that I used to go to. Most of the meals were big enough for 2-3 go rounds.

Jax is a pretty neat place - they hadn't started fixing the riverfront when I was down there but I enjoyed myself anyway.

My DD wants to ask you about your teaching and the programs here in Chattanooga as they are thinking of moving. Please contact me at gailjroachATcomcastDOTnet and I can give you her email or arrange for her to contact you by phone.

Thanks,

Your haircut looks fantastic, Claire! Glad to hear that your trip was fun, but I wish (for your sake) the airlines had got it right.

Will email you in a sec. Gotta see what you're doing this weekend, as I'll be in Sewanee!!! Whee!!!!
